SURFING PRIZE WINNERS – The second annual Great Lakes Surfing Assn. championship meet was held over the weekend on Lake Michigan south of the state park.  Rick Sapinski of Grand Rapids was the senior men’s champion with Jerry Hanck of Chicago second and Tony Molis of Caledonia third.  Scott Stinebower of Grand Haven took the junior men’s title but did not accept the first place trophy as he is competing in high school sports.  Bob Doran of Grand Rapids was second and Bob Pushaw of Grand Haven third.  Jesse Stinebower of Grand Haven was the first woman’s champion.
