Rising Lake Level

   The water at this point on Lake Michigan, is now from two to three feet higher than it has been before for the last twelve years.—The turf of the marshes along the River is now being lifted up and carried in large quantities sufficient to line miles of the lake shore with green grass, and various kinds of vegetable matter.
